Think in clusters
Central Gyeongju contains several major historic landscapes within a more manageable area. Sites toward Bulguksa and Seokguram require a separate movement plan. Treating them as one continuous walking route produces a rushed schedule.
Mark each essential site on a local map, then check the transit time between clusters. Add waiting time rather than assuming a bus will appear when you finish looking around.
A practical two-day shape
Day one can focus on the central tomb and palace landscape, with evening time reserved for a site whose atmosphere changes after dark. Day two can focus on the Bulguksa area, provided current opening and transport information works for your dates.
Weather matters because much of the experience is outdoors. Keep one indoor museum or café break as a flexible part of the route.
Do not let luggage design the day
Confirm luggage storage or accommodation drop-off before arrival. Carrying a suitcase between heritage sites can turn a thoughtful route into a search for ramps and lockers.
