Set it up before the street corner
Install the app and select an interface language before you need directions. Search your hotel, airport terminal and first destination, then save them. This reveals spelling problems while you still have time to fix them.
Korean businesses can have several English spellings. The Korean name copied from an official site or accommodation message is often the most reliable search input.
Read a route as a sequence
Do not look only at the total time. Check the correct station entrance, platform direction, transfer walk and final exit. For buses, compare the route number and direction with the stop shown in the app.
When an itinerary matters, keep the destination address in Korean for a driver or staff member. A map pin is useful, but readable text is a better backup.
- Save destinations into a trip list.
- Take a screenshot of the final walking section.
- Check the last departure again on the travel day.
- Allow extra time for large interchange stations.
Know what the app cannot guarantee
Business hours, temporary closures and ticket availability can change independently of map data. Confirm critical details with the venue or operator. Navigation is a planning tool, not proof that a place will be open.
